Counselling and Psychotherapy are talking therapies and the process is normally conducted in once weekly sessions of 50 minutes, which is your time and space. By working together, we can hopefully realise a way of dealing with the problems explored, to allow a happier life through self-awareness, and by embracing the new possibilities that can be found.

Counselling Sessions are normally conducted in person, but if it is difficult to make the journey to Camden, I am able to arrange sessions by phone contact.

In Therapy many issues are able to be dealt with by looking at the existential questions brought to the sessions and acknowledging that the answers are there, but it is sometimes difficult to access them without professional help such as this.

As a Counsellor in Camden, I work from an existential perspective, which tries to offer the client a way of discovering their own philosophy for living. It is a joint working venture between the client and the therapist that can facilitate the way through a crisis and experiencing overwhelming feelings of being stuck in the same place and not knowing how to move out of it.

Through discovering how to approach everyday life from multiple perspectives and realising that there can be another way of being in the world, problems can be overcome and emotional wounds healed. Each day life can throw up new challenges, and it is understanding how you can work with those challenges that gives the confidence to suceed in overcoming them. Sometimes it is the need to explore personal issues from the past, issues that have manifested like heavy baggage that needs to be released; and then new ways of being aware of how to engage with life in an empowered way can be achieved.
